We are excited to announce a new adventure at New Journey. We are starting
Spirit Journey . . . A Center for Connection and Growth.
The Mission of New Journey United Church of Christ is
“An Inclusive Community Engaged in Christ’s Journey of Love”.
As we establish a center that expands beyond Christianity, our mission for this ministry, Spirit Journey, will be “Inclusive Community Engaged in Love”.
Our Vision for Spirit Journey is “To create a center for connection and growth; encouraging the exploration of multiple spiritual paths through movement, meditation, dialogue and the arts”.
We are creating a space and time for more people to experience holiness and find the peace of connecting with something greater than ourselves. Spirit Journey will be a center for connections and growth; a place for both quiet and conversation, for curiosity and creativity.
Join us for meditation, books, films, discussions, drums and tai chi. Spirit Journey into a center for all who long for connection, and for all who wish to grow in an Inclusive Community Engaged in Love.

Our next book is
"An Altar in the World" by Barbara Brown Taylor.
An Altar in the World, Taylor shares how she learned to encounter God far beyond the walls of the church. Taylor reveals meaningful ways to discover the sacred in the small things we do and see, from simple practices such as walking, working, and prayer. Something as ordinary as hanging clothes on a clothesline becomes an act of meditation if we pay attention to what we're doing and take time to notice the sights, smells, and sounds around us. . As we incorporate practices into our daily lives, we begin to discover altars everywhere we go, in nearly everything we do.
Meditation will meet on the 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month starting in May.
Next Meditation ~ May 8th
